I have just been informed by the good folks at Brunswick Cycling Club that those in need of a 3-ride permit can purchase these prior to the event! That's hella good news! Just head down to DISC velodrome on a Tuesday night and ask to see Alf at the desk. Tell him you need a 3-ride permit for the Cyclocross and he'll hook you up.

Why would you do this, you ask? Because if you already have your licence or permit, rego will take about six seconds. And the course is only open for an hour before racing begins. That only leaves about fiftynine minutes and fiftyfour seconds for you to check out the course, warm up on the rollers, apply your embrocation cream and tune your cowbells. If you need to purchase your permit on the day rego will take about ten minutes. That only leaves fifty minutes, which means one of those things will have to go. And trust me on this one, you don't want to be riding around with an out-of-tune cowbell.
