Well Ladies and Gentlemen, it's all go around the DDCX HQ right now.
The race will be here faster than it takes Blakey to glue a tubular and the updates keep coming...
First of all I'd like to remind people to bring their licences/permits. Last time we had a few 'surprised' people who had forgotten theirs. If you have a CA licence bring it! If you have purchased a CX Season pass/3 ride pass you will need to bring that to prove it. We love and trust each of you who enter our races, but unfortunately we still need proof of your licensed status.
If you are driving to the race we suggest parking on Ronald St in addition to Golf Road. Both are residential streets and so may well fill up quickly. Both provide excellent access to the course. If you are arriving by pedal power, the Merri Creek bike path will get you there (or you can ride more directly via the hills of Murray Road).
We also need 6 course marshalls, so if wearing a bright orange 'MARSHAL' jacket and getting to see all the parts of the course (we have a sweet new system for rotating volunteers around the course) appeals to you, please contact Nath directly by email before Friday evening. You will need to be in attendance at the official briefing at 11:30, but we often like to reward our helpers for their time, plus you can heckle racers with impunity as you are a 'race official'.
Finally...
Our friends at Larry's Custom Cycles (who continue to reward silliness in every race) have a spare bike going this weekend, if you want a bike to ride in the CX class, its a 56, Singular peregrine all ready to go. Just let us know by Saturday night, we will get you the bike on the day.
