It's The Flavour.

I have just been informed by the good folks at Brunswick Cycling Club that those in need of a 3-ride permit can purchase these prior to the event! That's hella good news! Just head down to DISC velodrome on a Tuesday night and ask to see Alf at the desk. Tell him you need a 3-ride permit for the Cyclocross and he'll hook you up.

Why would you do this, you ask? Because if you already have your licence or permit, rego will take about six seconds. And the course is only open for an hour before racing begins. That only leaves about fiftynine minutes and fiftyfour seconds for you to check out the course, warm up on the rollers, apply your embrocation cream and tune your cowbells. If you need to purchase your permit on the day rego will take about ten minutes. That only leaves fifty minutes, which means one of those things will have to go. And trust me on this one, you don't want to be riding around with an out-of-tune cowbell.

This Is A Recording.

Those of you who ride all three races will go into the raffle to win this bike from Jamis. The raffle will be held at the presentations after the final race. Location TBA. The bike will not go to the person who wins. Well, actually, it might, but if it does, it will be by luck, not design. Which means Nik Cee will probably win it. But you could! In fact, you'd have the same chance as Nik Cee, just by riding all three races.

If You Can't, Then It Doesn't Matter Anyway.

New FAQ section! That's it there, on the right-hand side, just below the flyer. If you have any other questions, leave them in the comments section.

Rudy Can't Fail.

No mincing words here. Those of you who ride all three races in this series will go into the running to win this bike from Jamis. And those of you who rock up to the first race will receive some free lube from Pedros, in order to clean the chain you coated in mud. We love our sponsors so much right now. I also have some announcements about Commuter Cycles, but you're going to have to wait for that one.

What I Need.

Jamis Bikes, TRP Brakes and Tektro Components have just come on board as sponsors, and are offering some freaking killer prizes. More details as they're finalized, but let's just say that those who ride all three races could well be handsomely rewarded.

Sneaky Feelings.

An official but short announcement:

Because this is a Brunswick Cycling Club event, and because we really, really wanted to be covered by someone's public liability insurance, you will need a Cycling Australia Licence to race this series. If you don't have a CA licence, you will be able to purchase a 3-ride permit from us, at any of the races in the series, for $30. That's all cool, but we because we have to buy them from Cyclesport Victoria up front, it'd be good to know numbers beforehand. So, if you want to ride on a 3-ride permit, drop us a line in the comments section here.

We're still trying to figure out if a MTBA licence is ok. Given Neil Robinson rode in the Metro Road Champs on his last weekend, it should be fine, but we want to make sure. I'll get back to you on that.*

Ah, bureaucracy.

*Have now done some research. MTBA licence holders can upgrade their licences with CA, but if they're not keen on doing this, they will have to purchase 3-ride permits like everyone else. Which kinda sucks. This was much easier to deal with when we were organizing alleycats.
